Larry M. Seal

Larry "Rapachudis" Seal

Larry "Rapachudis" Seal age 65, left his tired and broken body to begin his new life with our Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 6, 2010, at home with his wife of almost 41 years, Diana Lynn Seal, by his side. He is survived by daughters, Melissa (Curt) Griffiths and Laurie Dillon; grandchildren, Matthew, Brianna and Camryn Griffiths and Desiree Dillon. Also survived by sisters, Barbara (Earl) Boyer, Patricia Mashburn and Judith Seal and brother, James A. Seal, as well as several nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends. Larry loved his family and friends, his dogs, camping and hiking. He spent every free moment enjoying God's great outdoors and shared that joy with his family and dogs as often as possible. Larry was an avid baseball player for many years, and was also a loyal fan. He attended the final Diamondbacks Spring Training game just days before his passing. The family wishes to express gratitude and sincere heartfelt thanks to Dr. Inboden and Yvette; Dr. Ahmann and Phyliss of the UMC Cancer Center and Jessica McAster and Rebecca Hamilton of the Carondelet Hospice for their loving care and concern for Larry and his family. A private family memorial will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Carondelet Hospice, 630 North Alvernon, Suite 361, Tucson, AZ 85711. Donations can also be made to the American Cancer Society or the Humane Society of Southern Arizona.

Diana,

It was saddening to read about the death of Larry (The Rappa). We had no idea he was even ill. It has been many years since I played baseball with Larry but those times were some of my best memories. Larry was always so upbeat and certainly had a passion for the game of baseball. He was a good a friend and a great teammate. He will be missed but never forgotten.
